Material Description: SURGILONTMM polyamide braided suture is inert and non-absorbable. According to its chemical structure, it is a long chemical chain of Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6 polymers. The braided threads are uniformly coated with silicone to improve
handling characteristics and reduce capillarity.
Material Characteristic: The advanced extrusion process of nylon molecules and the coating provide the suture with the following unique properties

• Excellent and permanent knot strength
Indications: SURGILONTTM braided nylon non-absorbable suture is used for tissue matching and/or ligation, used in general, thoracic, plastic, cosmetic, cardiovascular surgery, ophthalmology and neurosurgery.
Action: SURGILONTTM braided nylon non-absorbable suture material causes minimal inflammatory reaction in tissues and is rapidly encapsulated.
Strength: Like any other non-absorbable nylon suture, it undergoes hydrolysis in vivo over time, which can lead to a slight loss of strength.
Resorption: Non-absorbable suture material does not change the strength in vivo.
Sterilization: Ethylene oxide or gamma irradiation.
Packaging: SURGILONTTM braided nylon suture is produced both unpainted (white) and in black in sizes from 2 (metric size 5) to 7-0 (metric size 0.5). SURGILONTTM sterile suture is supplied in various lengths, diameters, and quantities in individual packages, in a needle-free design, or with needles permanently fixed or removable. It is formed in boxes of 12, 24 or 36 pieces.
